Spring (March–May) — the sweet spot

Warm days, cool evenings and gardens in bloom. This is the most popular window, so book your riad early and expect higher rates around the holidays.

Summer (June–August) — hot but quiet

Daytime heat is real, often above 38°C. Locals slow down: explore early, rest at midday, and live on the rooftop after dark. A riad courtyard stays remarkably cool, and rates are softer.

Autumn (September–November) — the second sweet spot

The heat eases, the light turns golden, and crowds thin after the summer. Many regulars consider this the best time of all.

Winter (December–February) — bright days, cold nights

Sunny afternoons, genuinely cold nights, and the snow-capped Atlas on the horizon. Pack layers and choose a riad with heating and a fire in the salon.
